Photo of the Week | Misol-Ha Waterfalls Outside Palenque, Mexico

Misol-Ha Palenque Chiapas Mexico
Misol-Ha, Palenque, Chiapas, Mexico -

You can walk right in behind the waterfalls, for a very dramatic view!

This stunning waterfall, Misol-Ha, is on the way to the equally impressive “Agua Azul’ waterfalls. Although when we visited Agua Azul (Blue Water), the water was murky brown, instead of it’s famous bright turquoise blue colour. Therefore, Misol-Ha wins for the most reliably beautiful waterfall in this area, near Palenque in Chiapas.

When we visited, we got a big group of fellow travellers and rented a collectivo (mini van) for the day. We were picked up at our accommodation in Palenque, and brought to both Misol-Ha and Palenque for just 90 MXN each. Not bad for a chauffeured day tour to these two beautiful waterfalls.
