An Indian circus performance during the Pushkar Camel Fair in Pushkar, Rajasthan.
As we sat on the soft sand of a Rajasthani dessert in Pushkar, we watched a fun circus performance unfold before us. From acrobats to silly clowns, the circus was every bit as fun as any other I’ve ever been to.
Outside the tent, however, was more like a circus for me, with camels, cows and wild dogs roaming the streets as Indian people from all over the country, and foreign tourists from all over the world, gathered in the small town of Pushkar to enjoy the annual Camel Fair. Spectacular, colourful and chaotic, as is always expected in India, my extended weekend in Pushkar is one of my most memorable and cherished memories of India.
Have you ever been to the Pushkar Camel Fair?
