Snow Day in Ireland

Snow in Ireland, 2014

You don’t need to go very far to be inspired. Today, I literally just stepped outside my front door and spent some time exploring my back garden in the snow.

It’s not very often we experience snow in Ireland, especially in mid-February, so naturally, I headed straight out with my camera to take a few pictures of the snow covered earth.

It’s a pity that during the entire time Andres was in Ireland, in December and January, it never snowed properly. Then, a week after he leaves, the ground is covered. Typical unpredictable Irish weather!

And so out I ventured, accompanied by my trusty tripod for a few mid-air selfies, my trusty, frolicking cat and even a wild hare! I definitely wasn’t expecting to see the hare, so those photos are slightly out of focus as I rushed to get a few shots. Still pretty cool all the same.

Suffice to say, that by the time I was writing and publishing this post, the snow had already melted.

Some of life’s simple pleasures are short-lived, so enjoy them while you can!
