This week’s ‘photo of the week’ is from a beautiful ancient city of Bhaktapur, Nepal, in the Kathmandu Valley; a UNESCO World Heritage site.
This shot was taken in the center of the city of Bhaktapur, where locals had left their clothes out to dry in the sun. Behind the wall is a large man-made pond filled with water, where these clothes must have been washed. The buildings, motorbikes and messy overheard cables in the background are typical of Nepal. Although Bhaktapur is more commonly known for its rich culture and temples, I think this photo gives a sense of what an everyday scene in the city is like.
